| The common thread between Ash and Steamy was that neither one of them could make the connection between their words and their actions. These types of "personalities" really, honestly, believe themselves when they come out with these repeated promises and proclamations to turn over a new leaf. They are not being duplicitous, but they do not have enough control over their actions (for reasons that go way beyond here) to successfully follow thru.
